- It is Maya Wrap's company policy that all those involved in the production of Maya Wraps are paid a fair wage in the local context, have healthy and safe working conditions, and are at least 16 years of age. We recently had an independent 3rd party verify that our manufacturer is following fair trade practices and providing a good working environment for its employees. (The cotton is hand-loomed in Guatemala.)
- Maya Wrap's organic products are made in America!
- We have a certificate from our manufacturer stating that the dyes used to make Maya Wrap Baby Carriers do not contain any copper, nickel, lead, mercury, cadmium, cobalt, aluminum, arsenic, chromium or any other poisonous substance. If you should be avoiding lead (or any other substance) in anything, you should be avoiding it in the product you wrap your baby in every day! What a relief to know that your Maya Wrap is safe!
