The instructional booklet that Maya Wrap includes with their slings shows you how to put a baby in a cradle hold differently than I show you here. I have always done the cradle hold with the baby's head away from the rings, but Maya Wrap's technique puts the baby's head near the rings. I like this way better, because it feels more secure to me, and it allows you to use the tail as a nursing cover where the other technique does not. Also, when your child gets bigger, this technique allows you to pop his legs out so he can still fit in the cradle position (for nursing an older baby, for example). Of course, there's a video below to show you how to do that. :)
